Teacher Training
Child Evangelism Fellowship® values offering teacher training opportunities in order to teach children’s ministry workers how to effectively reach children with the gospel and disciple them in God’s word. Below, we have highlighted some teacher training opportunities that you or your church can take advantage of. Be sure to contact your local chapter to discuss what other training topics they may be offering.
Christian Youth In Action
Christian Youth in Action® is an exciting teacher training opportunity for youth, ages 12 and up. Youth can make a difference in the lives of these children by serving as a summer missionary with CEF®. CYIA™ is a program designed to train you and a team of other young people in effective and engaging ways to teach children about God. This summer you could: Reach boys and girls with the Gospel, see your faith and vision grow deeper, build new friendships that will last a lifetime, grow in communication, teamwork, endurance, responsibility, and self-confidence, and gain great experience for ministry. Visit the CYIA website or contact us for more information!

TCE-1: Teaching Child Effectively Level 1
The goal of Teaching Children Effectively™ is to produce ministry practitioners who not only have the intellectual know-how to minister to children but who an actually “do ministry.” If you are a Sunday school teacher, parent, church leader, college student, or missionary TCE™ can benefit you.
TCE 1 is designed to offer a fresh approach to classroom learning and will equip students with basic skills and effective methods to evangelize children. Emphasis is placed on organizing and conducting meaningful class-room activities that enrich children spiritually and are also enjoyable.
In addition to regular course work, three practicum sessions conducted during the course provide each student with evaluated experience in applying the theory and thought. Students are also required to participate in teaching five children’s classes within 90 days of completion of the course to receive a certificate.
All course instructors are credentialed through the Children’s Ministry Institute and are experienced children’s workers and teacher trainers.
